A comprehensive Life cycle assessment has been used for assessing the environmental impact of using 4 different types of bedpans.
Life cycle assessment is a systematic method for environmental assessment and interpretation of the influence on the environment on specific solutions or products and their impact on the environment through the whole life cycle. It is the generally acknowledged method for comparing the environmental performance of alternative solutions to each other.
The assesment has been performed by Associated Professor Birgitte Lilholt Sørensen & Professor Henrik Wenzel from the University of Southern Denmark
